Vernon Community Players

At the home of Priscilla & Rusty Haynes at 7:00PM. Attending were: Priscilla & Rusty Haynes, Jon Eggleston, Les Fisher, Paddy Stewart, Diane More, and Eileen Hogan.

Meeting called to order by President Rusty Haynes. Minutes were read from the March meeting. The minutes were approved as read. Treasure Diane reported that we now have a bank balance of $4249.36. All ticket money is in but we have some outstanding bills for approximately $200. Everyone was thanked from their hard work on the show. Ideas and suggestions for next years show were discussed.

It was decided to give $25. gift certificates to Doan’s Crossing to James and Sarah Hodsden because we inadvertently left out the ad for the Presbyterian church in the program. Members also voted to make Red Stocking Follies caps for all of our advertisers as a way of saying thank you.

Old Business:

New officers were elected unanimously. President Paddy Stewart, Treasurer Diane More, and Secretary/Reporter Eileen Hogan.

New Business:

1. A letter was read from Cynthia Hight who had some ideas for caroling and for the Christmas parade. Members decided that we would all support whatever ideas Cynthia wanted to plan for the Christmas holidays. Everyone liked the idea of being in the parade. Members also would like to continue the singing Christmas cards.

2. Priscilla asked if we wanted to sell water at the Santa Rosa Parade this year. We made some money doing that last year and could have sold more. Priscilla will coordinate the purchase and sales.

3. The possibility of a Jazz concert in the Fall was discussed, but no definite plans were made.

Since there was no other business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 9:25PM. The next meeting will be held June 5^th at the home of Paddy Stewart at 1829 London at 7PM.
